This Privacy Policy applies to all mobile applications (collectively, the “Services”) developed and published by ZEROSYNTAX (SMC-PRIVATE) LIMITED, including DeepChat: AI Agents & Chatbot, our device utility applications (photo/video compression, optimization), and our other Artificial Intelligence tools (AI virtual assistants, AI agents and agent workflows, AI home design). We are committed to protecting your privacy and being transparent about how we handle your data. This policy explains what information we collect, how it is used, and the rights you have over your personal data. By downloading, accessing, or using our Services, you agree to the practices described in this policy.
2. Information We Collect and Device Permissions
To provide our core features, we require certain permissions and data. We minimize data collection to the absolute necessary.
A. Device Permissions Request
- Storage / Media Access (Read/Write): Required for utility apps to access photos/videos for compression, identify duplicates, and detect blurry images. For our AI apps, this allows you to upload photos, documents, or images for analysis and rendering. We cannot modify or delete files without your explicit in-app confirmation.
- Camera: Requested only if you choose to take new photos or videos directly within the app (e.g., scanning a room for AI Home Decor, or capturing an image to ask the AI about).
- Usage Stats / File Management: Required for “Phone Diagnostic” features to analyze storage usage and calculate memory statistics.
B. User-Generated Content (AI Processing)
- Text Prompts: When using our AI assistant and AI agent apps, the text queries you enter are processed to generate responses. Where you chain multiple AI agents into a workflow, the output of one step may be passed as input to the next step to complete your request.
- Uploaded Content: When using our AI apps, the images, documents, PDFs, or URLs you submit are temporarily processed on secure cloud servers to generate the requested output (e.g., analysis, summaries, or design renders).
- No Biometric Data: We do not collect, scan, or store facial recognition data or biometrics.
C. Technical and Analytics Data (Non-Personal)
We collect anonymous usage data to improve app stability, including:
- Device type, model, and Operating System (e.g., Android 14, iOS 18).
- App usage frequency and session length.
- Crash logs and performance diagnostics.
D. Account, Location, and Financial Data (REVISED — was “Google Play’s Data Safety requirements”)
In accordance with the data disclosure requirements of the Apple App Store and Google Play, we collect the following data to ensure app functionality and user account synchronization:
- Approximate Location: Collected to provide location-based AI features and recommendations.
- Personal Information: If you choose to create an account, we collect your Email Address and assign a User ID to sync your generated content and subscription status across devices.
- Financial Information: We track anonymous Purchase History to manage access to premium features and subscriptions.
3. Advertising and Ad Mediation (REVISED — opt-out now covers both platforms)
Our Services may be offered for free, supported by advertising. We use Google AdMob as our primary ad serving platform, alongside third-party ad mediation networks (such as AppLovin, Unity Ads, Mintegral, or Meta Audience Network) to optimize ad delivery.
- Advertising IDs: These networks may collect your device’s unique Advertising ID (GAID on Android, IDFA on iOS) and IP address to provide personalized, targeted advertisements and measure ad performance. On iOS, we request permission through Apple’s App Tracking Transparency (ATT) framework before any cross-app tracking occurs, and we only track if you grant permission.
- Opting Out:
- Android: Settings → Google → Ads → Opt out of Ads Personalization (or Delete advertising ID).
- iOS: Settings → Privacy & Security → Tracking → turn off “Allow Apps to Request to Track,” or decline the tracking prompt within the app.
4. In-App Purchases and Subscriptions (REVISED — now platform-neutral)
We offer premium features, ad-removal options, and subscriptions (including auto-renewable subscriptions) within our apps.
- Payment Processing: All In-App Purchases (IAP) and subscriptions are securely processed and managed entirely by the app store through which you downloaded the application — the Apple App Store (Apple Media Services) on iOS devices, or Google Play Billing on Android devices.
- Financial Data: ZEROSYNTAX (SMC-PRIVATE) LIMITED does not collect, process, or store your credit card numbers, banking details, or billing addresses. We only receive an anonymous transaction token from Apple or Google to unlock your premium features.
5. AI Processing and Data Usage
Because our applications utilize Artificial Intelligence, we adhere to strict data boundaries:
- No Model Training on User Data: The images, documents, text prompts, and chat histories you submit are used only to generate your specific request. We do not use your personal data, uploads, or chat histories to train, retrain, or improve our base AI models.
- Third-Party AI Providers: To generate responses, your prompts and uploaded content may be processed by trusted third-party AI model providers acting on our behalf, under contractual confidentiality and data-protection obligations, solely to fulfil your request.
- Temporary Processing: Data sent to our cloud servers for AI processing is encrypted in transit, processed dynamically, and discarded after the output is returned to your device, except where you have chosen to save chat history to your account.
- Content Safety and Reporting: In compliance with generative AI policies, our applications utilize automated safety filters to prevent the generation of harmful content. Additionally, we provide an in-app reporting mechanism (such as a “flag” or “report” button) accompanying AI responses, allowing users to report inappropriate content for review.
6. Data Retention and Deletion (REVISED — was “Google Play’s Data Deletion requirements”)
We provide users with full control over their data in compliance with the Apple App Store and Google Play account- and data-deletion requirements:
- Local Media: Utility processing (compression/cleaning) happens locally. Your personal media stays on your device unless you explicitly delete it.
- In-App Account Deletion: If you have created an account within our apps, you may request the permanent deletion of your account and all associated data (including AI chat histories and saved preferences) directly within the app settings.
- Web-Based Data Deletion Request: If you no longer have the app installed on your device, you can exercise your right to delete your account and associated data by emailing us at info@zer0syntax.com.
- Data Removal: Upon receiving a deletion request, we will permanently remove your account data from our active servers, except for anonymous transaction tokens which may be retained briefly for legal and financial compliance.
7. Regional Privacy Rights (GDPR, UK-GDPR & CCPA)
Depending on your location, you may have specific rights regarding your personal information under the General Data Protection Regulation (EU and UK-GDPR) or the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA).
- Right to Access & Portability: You can request a copy of the data we hold about you.
- Right to Rectification & Erasure (Right to be Forgotten): You can request that we delete your data or correct inaccuracies.
- Right to Restrict Processing: You can object to how your data is processed.
- Do Not Sell My Personal Information (CCPA): We do not sell your personal data to third parties for direct financial gain. However, sharing data with ad networks for personalized advertising may be considered a “sale” or “share” under CCPA. You can opt out via your device settings as detailed in Section 3.
8. International Data Transfers
To provide our cloud-based AI processing and global infrastructure, your information may be transferred to—and maintained on—computers located outside of your state, province, country, or other governmental jurisdiction where the data protection laws may differ. We ensure appropriate safeguards (such as Standard Contractual Clauses) are in place to protect your data during these transfers.
9. Third-Party Service Providers (REVISED — added Apple)
We employ trusted third-party services to facilitate our apps, including:
- Apple App Store / Google Play Services & Billing: For app delivery and payments.
- Google Firebase / Google Analytics: For tracking app performance and crashes.
- AI Model Providers: For generating AI responses, under contractual data-protection obligations.
- Ad Networks: Google AdMob and associated mediation partners for displaying ads.
10. Children’s Privacy
Our Services are not directed to anyone under the age of 13 (or 16 in certain jurisdictions). We do not knowingly collect personally identifiable information from children. If we discover that a child has provided us with personal information, we immediately delete this from our servers.
11. Security
We value your trust. All data transmitted between your device and our servers is protected using industry-standard HTTPS/TLS encryption. However, no method of transmission over the internet or electronic storage is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
